The Türkiye Bursları (YTB) scholarship runs on a strictly enforced annual cycle. Miss any date and you wait a full year.

YTB is administered by the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities. The scholarship is fully funded — tuition, monthly stipend, dormitory accommodation (KYK), health insurance, and a one-time round-trip flight from your home country.
Crucially, YTB also places you directly at a university and into a programme based on your application profile and national quotas. You don't apply to universities separately.
Watch-outs
- The cycle is fully online via the YTB portal. Late submissions, technical glitches, or incomplete documents result in disqualification with no second chance.
- The portal demands a complete dossier: academic transcripts, statement of purpose, recommendation letters, standardised test scores where applicable. Prepare these months in advance.
- The interview stage filters heavily. Clearing the academic screen doesn't guarantee a placement — treat the interview as decisive, not procedural. See ytb-08 on how to prepare.
- YTB does not require a YÖS or TR-YÖS score. Eligibility runs through YTB's own evaluation matrix.
