When must Süresiz, Bağımsız, or Turkuaz Kart holders notify CSGB about workplace or role changes?

General information, not legal advice. For high-stakes decisions, confirm with the official institution in the next-step below, or consult a qualified Turkish lawyer.

Pending expert review. This fact is sourced but has not yet been reviewed by an independent legal expert. Treat as a starting point.

At least 10 days before starting work at the new workplace or role, the foreigner notifies CSGB. The rule is in Implementation Regulation 6735 Article 26(3) and applies to Turkuaz Kart, Bağımsız çalışma izni, and Süresiz çalışma izni holders. These permit types aren't tied to one specific employer, but the change-notification is still mandatory.

Watch-outs
  • The notification is the foreigner's responsibility. There's no employer to do it on your behalf — that's the whole point of the rule for these permit types.
  • Skipping the notice is a fineable offence under Law 6735 Article 23 — see money-09 for the fines.
  • 10-day pre-notice is stricter than the 15-day post-event rule for employer-tied permits in work-08. Don't reach for the wrong rule.
Next step

Before you commit to any new workplace or role, calendar a 10-day-pre-start CSGB notification. The e-portal handles the filing — there's no in-person trip required, but the timing isn't negotiable.
